It’s been lovely to see some new faces around the Academy lately as Highfield has been welcoming next year’s new intake.
Year 6 pupils from feeder schools across Blackpool have been joining us for settling-in events and team building days.
The pupils have been enjoying taster sessions across the curriculum as well as enjoying more social activities and team building sessions.
We’ll be seeing them all again in the summer term as we invite them back for another taste of Highfield life during Transition Week. Miss Rimmer, our SLT link for Transition, and Mrs Holmes, LSA link for Transition, continue to visit our feeder primary schools to get to know our new pupils better.
An induction evening for new parents is also planned on Monday 3 July.
