All pupils from Years 7, 8 and 9 took part in fun STEM challenges. Each class had a dilemma to work through that drew on the skills pupils have developed in science, technology, engineering and maths classes. Using excellent teamwork, enquiry and engineering skills, our pupils created parachutes, communication towers and tub racers.

On Thursday 16 March our British Science Week demo day invited pupils to watch interesting science demonstrations including dry ice and a flame test. Pupils could also observe multiple dissections and get involved in measuring the heart rate of water fleas.

Our Vice Principal Mr Wardle, who also teaches science, said:
“The week’s activities were a real success. It was fantastic to see our pupils engaging with science through the activities on offer.”
