A group of year 8 pupils scaled new heights on a recent residential trip to Borwick Hall.

The outdoor education centre near Carnforth became the pupils’ home for three days as they got to grips – literally! – with outdoor pursuits and team challenges.

The trip gave our pupils an opportunity to try out a range of wet and wild activities. Canoeing, orienteering, tree climbs, crate stack, boulder climbs and low rope activities were highlights for many pupils.

The action packed three days at Borwick Hall saw Highfield pupils demonstrate and develop fantastic teamwork skills that would help them in all aspects of their lives.

Mr Johnson, our Head of PE, said:
“Throughout the residential our pupils were a credit to Highfield, demonstrating leadership skills and building positive relationships. The staff at Borwick Hall made Highfield very welcome and provided an experience that our pupils will remember for many years to come.”

Our school takes pupils on residential trips such as this in Year 8 to introduce them to new experiences and challenges.
