Well done to our GCSE art students who were recognised in this year’s District 1190 Rotary Young Artist Competition. Their winning paintings, produced as part of their GCSE coursework, were fine examples of the high standard of artwork Highfield pupils regularly produce.

Highfield’s artists dominated the 14 to 17 years category with Year 11 pupil Amy Tomlinson named the winner with her painting ‘Double Reflection’, and Year 10 pupil Codie Cooper the runner-up with her painting ‘Reflection Through a Horse’s Eye’. Year 11 pupil Maddison Scharmann’s painting ‘The Black Dog’ won her a Highly Commended accolade too.
